Overview

1995 Honda Africa Twin RD07 – Classic Dakar DNA

This 1995 Honda XRV750 Africa Twin RD07 presents with a very reasonable 33,081 km and remains in very decent overall condition. It appears to have lived an easy life and shows no signs of serious off-road use, which is becoming increasingly rare for these iconic adventure bikes.

Notable Features and Pricing

The Iconic 90s Tri-Colour Styling

The tri-colour paint schemes of the 1990s were bold, unmistakable, and all about brand recognition. This bike proudly wears its original factory paint, which still looks fantastic today. There are a couple of scratches on the right hand side of the tank and some minor discolouration on the white plastic guards, as shown in the photos, but overall the bike presents beautifully for its age.

The RD07 Redesign

Enthusiasts will recognise this model as the RD07 generation, a significant update over its predecessor. Honda carried out a comprehensive redesign that included a new frame and revised bodywork, with a focus on lowering the centre of gravity. The result was improved handling and a reduced seat height of 33.8 inches, making the bike more accessible while maintaining its serious adventure credentials.

Mechanical Condition

This Africa Twin has been fully serviced and test ridden, and everything functions as it should. Key highlights include:

  • Michelin tyres with approximately 90% tread remaining

  • All electrics working correctly

  • Wheels in very nice condition

  • Original owner’s manual included

Overall, it’s a well-kept example that rides as good as it looks.

Dakar Heritage

The Africa Twin’s reputation was forged in the desert. Its design was inspired by the legendary Honda NXR750, which dominated the Paris–Dakar Rally with four victories in the late 1980s. That competition DNA is what made the Africa Twin one of the most respected adventure motorcycles of its era.

A Modern Adventure Story
