This 1997 Kawasaki ZX-7 is a fantastic example of a 90s superbike that’s aged gracefully. Mechanically excellent, it’s been fully serviced and runs, starts, and shifts through all gears flawlessly. Cosmetically, the tank shows a few chips and scratches — but crucially, no dents — maintaining its authentic character.

Notable Features and Pricing

Big Changes from '96 Onward

In 1996, Kawasaki unified its global naming convention under the “ZX-7” badge and gave the bike a significant overhaul. The engine got a shorter stroke and larger bore to boost midrange power, while a second ram-air intake helped improve performance across the rev range. Claimed output was a potent 123 horsepower.

Upgraded Brakes and Suspension

To match the power, the ZX-7 received 6-pot Tokico front brakes (up from 4-pot) and fully adjustable suspension at both ends. The result? Sharper handling and stronger stopping power to back up its racing heritage.

Tasteful Upgrades and Ready to Ride

This example sports a quality 4-into-1 Akrapovic exhaust system and nearly new Bridgestone tyres. All electrics work as they should, and the bike’s been meticulously gone through in our workshop. It's genuinely turn-key and ready to enjoy.
