Based on the Honda NXR-750, the machine that won the Paris-Dakar Rally four times in the late 1980s, the Africa Twin was built in homage to Honda’s desert-conquering racers. Designed for both endurance and comfort, it’s a large-capacity dual sport motorcycle that’s as capable on trails as it is on tarmac.

Design and Features
The Africa Twin’s tuned V-twin engine delivers smooth, tractable power ideal for long-distance adventure.
Its twin headlights, windscreen, and long dual seat—extending from the fuel tank to the aluminium grab rail—combine comfort with purposeful style.
An aluminium bash plate shields the engine from rocks and debris, while the long-travel suspension with air-valve adjustable damping ensures a plush ride over uneven terrain. Braking comes from twin front discs and a single rear disc, all with Nissin calipers for reliable stopping power.
RD07 Updates and Evolution
The 1993 RD07 update brought a new box-section steel frame, redesigned bodywork, fuel tank, and engine improvements, along with a lower seat height.
In 1996, the RD07A version added an improved seat and clutch, a larger silencer, modified upper fairing and windscreen, and a revised luggage rack.
This particular bike was sold new in Japan, as Africa Twins were not originally available in Australia.
